The Holgate Academy needs a Higher Level Teaching Assistant with experience of leading a team to carry out a range of learning development, student welfare and administrative tasks to support students and teaching staff in the Academy and within the community. We would welcome applications from a teaching assistant with behavioural experience or a qualified teacher with behavioural experience looking to move roles or return to teaching.

  

Job title:  Teaching Assistant

Salary: Grade 5, actual salary £19,127 to £21,741

Working hours: 37 per week, term time only

Closing date: 31 August 2019

Interviews w/c 2 September 2019 onwards

You would work under the guidance of senior and teaching staff based at the outreach behaviour unit working with KS3 students and be required to follow an agreed system of supervision, and implement agreed work programmes to individuals and small groups. The role will also involve leading a team of staff in planning, preparing and managing resources. The primary focus will be to maintain good order by creating a positive learning environment to support the students and keep them on task and achieving.
