East Leake Academy are recruiting for a Teacher of Sociology to teach A Level and GCSE Sociology and some PSHE and/or KS3 Humanities.  We are looking to appoint a maternity cover who is enthusiastic and enjoys teaching these subjects to all abilities. In particular, the candidate should have a desire to strive to achieve grades beyond expectation. 


Job Title:               Teacher of Sociology 

Salary:                   MPS / UPS

Start date:            1st November 2019 

Working hours:   Full time hours.  Part time working requests would be considered


We are looking to appoint a positive, dynamic, enthusiastic and well qualified, teacher to join a successful and thriving Social Sciences Team. The teaching role is for A Level and GCSE Sociology and some and some PSHE and / or KS3 Humanities.The successful candidate will be committed to the development of creative and engaging teaching and learning which will instil in students a passion for learning and change their lives through learning in Social Sciences. 


This post would suit either a new entrant to the profession or an experienced teacher.  We would welcome a teacher returning to work after a career break and will consider part time or flexible working where possible.
